Willie Wren Holloway

Willie Wren Holloway, age 84, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. He was born on February 7, 1940, to Wilford T. and Clara Mae Hood Holloway.

Wren spent most of his life, from age 12, in Choctaw County. His father was a preacher most of his life, so he spent a lot of his time in church. He was an avid dog lover, especially his beloved Sissy. He spent all the time he could with his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren. Wren was known as a jokester and spent his spare time hunting and fishing. He was a faithful member of Clear Springs Baptist Church but attended Fellowship Baptist Church when he was able. He was married for 57 years to his wife, Floy Holloway.

Mr. Holloway is survived by his wife, Floy Holloway; one son, Jason Lamar Holloway (Amy); two daughters, Donna McKinney (Mitch) and Tanya Morgan (Glen); and seven grandchildren, Noah Holloway, Andrew Shumate, Cooper McKinney, Brittin McKinney, Thomas McKinney, Donnie Morgan, and Ben Morgan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilford T. and Clara Mae Hood Holloway; and one brother, Joel Holloway.
