Sara Christine Meek

Sara Christine Meek, 17, passed away March 23, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, Mississippi. She was born April 11, 2001 to Nicole Neal Meek and Walter Buchanan Meek, III.

Sara was home-schooled but had formerly attended Eupora High School. Family remember Sarah as loving the outdoors. Each of her hobbies included being outdoors…hiking, walking, working in the garden, and her love of animals. She had recently enjoyed Yellowstone National Park and its many hiking trails with her dad and sister Maddie. She especially liked hiking parts of the Appalachian Trail. She enjoyed drawing, painting and music. Sara and her mom had just attended a Fleetwood Mac concert in New Orleans. She had won a 5K Walk for the under 15-year-olds at the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge. She was a member of 4H Shooting Sports Team. She was also a member of the Eupora First United Methodist Church.

Sara Christine Meek is survived by her mother, Nicole Neal Meek; and her father, Walter Buchanan Meek, III; her sister, Madeline "Maddie" Elizabeth Meek; her brother, Walter Buchanan Meek, IV; maternal grandparents, Benny and Deborah Neal; and paternal grandparents, Janice Meek and Buchanan Meek, Jr.
