Samuel Alfred Medders

Samuel Alfred Medders of Eupora passed away October 3, 2026 at his residence.

Mr. Medders was born January 27, 1952, in Alabama to Floyd and Elaine Littlejohn Medders. He was one of nine children.

Sam loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grand and great grandchildren. He enjoyed drinking coffee and watching westerns.

Sam enjoyed building things. He even built his own home.

Sam survived by his three daughters Samantha Cooper, Kelly Thomas (Marlin) and Jill Mendez (Adam); his mother Elaine Littlejohn; two sisters Rita Sue Hodges (Harry) and Zenna Chapman (Allen); six brothers Roger Dale Medders, Jack Medders, Bobby Joe Medders, Thomas Medders, Floyd Medders Jr and Ray Medders; ten grand children Hayley, Kayla, Jasmyne, M.J., Kayson, Destiny, Ricky, Chloe, Anthony and Nina and a host of great grandchildren.

Sam is preceded in death by his father Floyd Medders; one grand son Major Barr and one son-in-law Ricky Cooper

A memorial service will be held at Wise Reed Funeral on Tuesday October 6, 2026, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Wise Reed Funeral Home will oversee the service.
