Russell Lynn "Rusty" Abbott

Russell Abbott, son of Wanda Lee Craig and Chester Abbott, was born in Louisiana on October 28,1960 and passed away at his residence in Choctaw County on January 25, 2024.

Rusty has lived in Ackerman, MS for 18 years after coming from Walker, Louisiana. He attended and quite enjoyed the Pentecostal and also the Chester Baptist Church. Fishing was his favorite pastime. He liked tearing down lawnmowers and putting them back together.

Mr. Abbott is survived by; one brother, Randy Abbott (Ackerman) and one sister, JoAnn Peeples (Ackerman).

He is preceded in death by parents, Chester and Wanda Craig Abbott; one brother, Terry Wayne Abbott, and one sister, Cathy Abbott Kimball.

Services for Rusty will be held at Chester Baptist Church in Ackerman, MS, January 31, 2024, at 11:30 am. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:30 am at Chester Baptist Church. Brother Rob Faulk will be officiating.
