Ruby Ann (Cook) Holeman, 74, Eupora, MS passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi from heart problems. Wise Reed Funeral Home of Eupora will handle cremation with memorial services on July 28, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Eupora Church of Christ with Rev. James Hill, pastor, officiating the services.

Ruby was born in Webster County on January 16, 1945. She attended Eupora Elementary School and then moved to Cleveland, Mississippi where she graduated from Cleveland High School.

She began her working career at Blue Goose Manufacturing where she moved to Miami, Florida with her special friend, Rose Bell. They both traveled a lot to hear Rev. Carroll Robinson preach and sing. Through the years she worked for the Methodist Hospital and Holiday Inn. She retired from Thomas & Betts of Memphis, Tennessee. After retirement she moved to Eupora.

She was a faithful member of White Station, Memphis, Tennessee and Eupora Church of Christ. Her hobbies were crocheting various things for missions & orphanages and typing lessons for churches in China.

She is preceded in death by her parents Thelma Green Cook & Ruben Cook of Eupora; her husband, Lonnie Holeman of Memphis, Tennessee; her sister, Juanita Cook Simmons; and her brother-in-law, Eugene Simmons, Eupora, and her grand-niece, LeeAnn Collier of Greenville, MS.

She is survived by one sister, Jimmie Cook Collier of Cleveland, Mississippi; a brother-in-law, Lee Collier of Cleveland, Mississippi; five nieces and nephews, Bonita Kay Perego, Vanessa Hodges, Lee Collier, Jr., Debbie Collier, and Terry Brown; and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews all whom she loved dearly.
