Roy "Dale" Perkins, age 71, passed away on November 15, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. He was born on December 31, 1950, to C.T. and Rowena Griffin Perkins.

Dale was a lifetime resident of Mathiston, Mississippi. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending his time hunting, fishing, and running his chainsaw. He was a logger and spent his time running his logging business, Dale Perkins Logging. He was a member of Lollars Grove Baptist Church and spent many hours of the day reading his bible.

He is survived by his caregiver, Angela Shaw of Mathiston, Mississippi; one son, Terry Shaw (Cassidy) of Maben, Mississippi; one brother, Joe Perkins (Patsy) of The Clarkson Community; two sisters, Janie Pritchard of The Clarkson Community, and Judy McBride of West Point, Mississippi; and one granddaughter, Vivian Mae Shaw.

He is preceded in death by his parents, C.T. and Rowena Griffin Perkins; two brothers, Paul Perkins, and Kent Perkins; and one sister, Dean Gregory.

A funeral service for Roy "Dale" Perkins will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Wise Reed Funeral Home in Eupora, Mississippi at 11 a.m. A visitation will be held Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home in Eupora, Mississippi. Officiating is Brother Scott McBride. Pallbearers are Bill Baker, Junior Yeager, Mark Clay, Jay McKee, Curtis McBride, and Brian Perkins. Burial will follow at Clarkson Cemetery in The Clarkson Community. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
