Roger Peeples, age 66, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2023, at his home in Maben, Mississippi. He was born on March 4, 1957, to Haven and Omaree Burns Clark Peeples.
Roger was a lifetime resident of Webster County. Before he was disabled, he was a mechanic. When he wasn't working, he spent a lot of his time working on cars and tires, listening to Elvis, and spending time with his family. He especially loved the time spent with his children and grandchildren. His children say he loved playing the guitar and could play a right-handed guitar left-handed. He attended Maben Church of God.
Roger is survived by two sons, Roger Lance Peeples of Clarkson, Mississippi and Cameron Gage Fuller of Ackerman, Mississippi; five daughters, Shannon Lee Chandler of Florida, Brittney Bramlett of Eupora, Mississippi, Kelley Wrenn of Eupora, Mississippi, Miranda Doherty (Mark) of Ackerman, Mississippi, and Megan Leigh (Patrick) Osburn of Louisville, Mississippi; one brother, Wayne Rushing of Maben, Mississippi; three sisters, Linda Williams (Bobby) of Maben, Mississippi, Debbie Thompson (Billy) of Montpelier, Mississippi, and Carol Cooksey of Maben, Mississippi; and 16 grandchildren, Joseph Peeples, Katherine Dahn, Brennan Chandler, Brooke Chandler, Jacob Allen, Chloe Peeples, Caleb Peeples, William Carver Wrenn, Rigel Breazeale, Bentley Miller, Sean Doherty, Gabriel Beernink, Guinevere Beernink, JC Osburn, and Madison Osburn.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Haven and Omaree Clark Peeples; his wife, Lisa Peeples; one brother, Gary Allen Peeples; and one granddaughter, Kaydence McCool.
Funeral services for Roger Peeples will be held on July 7, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home in Eupora, Mississippi. A visitation will be held prior to the service on July 7, 2023, from 12p.m. until 2p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Webster County, Mississippi. A graveside and committal service will be held inside the chapel. Officiating the services will be Brother Brian Wells and Brother Clint Anderson. Pallbearers are Lance Peeples, Cameron Fuller, Patrick Osburn, Nigel Breazeal, Mark Doherty, and Brian Hoffman. Honorary Pallbearers are Jacob Allen, Wayne Rushing, and Sherman Butler. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
