Richard Presley Castle, Sr., age 84, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Diversicare in Eupora, Mississippi. He was born on January 1, 1936, to Farris and Katie Lou Pullen Castle.

Richard graduated from Eupora High School in 1954. In 1964, he built his home that he and his family would live in for the next 56 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Eupora. He was an avid hunter and a member of the Old Cove Hunting Club. He loved to cook, especially for the Old Cove Hunting Club and the Woodman of the World. He loved to read and study his bible daily. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eupora.

He is survived by two sons, Richard Presley (Brenda) Castle, Jr., of Eupora, Mississippi and Ronald (Ginger) Castle of Silverhill, Alabama; two daughters, Debbie Castle Zaperach, of Eupora, Mississippi and Darlene (Paul) Coward, of Mobile, Alabama; two brothers, Robert "Buddy" (Lucy) Castle, of Raymond, Mississippi and Sidney (Denise) Castle, of Winona, Mississippi; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Farris and Katie Lou Pullen Castle; one brother, John Aaron Castle; and three sisters, Ernestine "Tena" Britt, Bobbi Nail, and Irene Bordes.

The family will have a private graveside service at a later date. Wise Reed Funeral Home assisted with all arrangements.
