Rachell Hodges, daughter of Nettie McHand and George Hodges, was born in Choctaw County, Mississippi on April 22,1941, and passed away at her residence in Choctaw County on January 29, 2024.

Rachell was a lifelong resident of Mississippi. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Choctaw County. She worked as a sewing operator until retirement at Red Kap Manufacturing and in the school cafeteria until her retirement from there. Given that one of Rachell's brothers was a veteran, she joined the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3806 of Eupora, MS.

Miss Hodges is survived by; one sister, Earline McCulloch (Eupora), and 27 nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by parents, George and Nettie McHand Hodges; two brothers, Clifton and Charles Hodges; three sisters, Gracie Robinson, Jackie Robinson, and Hazel Adkins.

Visitation and funeral services for Rachell Hodges will be held at Wise Reed Funeral Home in Eupora on Thursday, February 1,2024, beginning at 12:00 and service beginning at 1:00 PM. Brother Jason Bridges will officiate the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Braydon Myers, Jacob Medders, Tanner Medders, Bentley Trice, Hannah Myers, Kenzi Medders, Karlee Medders, and Kaylee Medders. Honorary Pallbearers are Harley Baxter and Keighley Medders. Interment will take place at Ebenezer Cemetery in Webster County. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
