Patsy Lynn Scarbrough Mims

Patsy Lynn Scarbrough Mims, 78, passed away on August 23, 2026, at NMMC Long Term Care of Eupora. She was born on February 1, 1948, and spent most of her life as a resident of the Montevista Community in Webster County.

Patsy was married to her husband, the late Barry Mims, for 47 years. She found joy in fishing, gardening, and her family. She also was interested in researching family connections and loved to visit with her friends.

Patsy is survived by one daughter, Paula Elrod (Eddie) Martin of Belden; one sister, Marilyn Scarbrough Angeletti of Whitewright, Texas; two brothers, Devin Mixon of Maben and Allen Pepper (Verla) of Starkville; three sisters-in-law, Patsy Wallace and Jackie (Mark) Bailey both of Columbus and Nancy Goodwin of New Iberia, Louisiana; one grandson Justin Mansell of Ripley, four great-grandchildren, Noah,

Charlie, Nash, and Stella; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Randolph Scarbrough of Crystal Springs and Bobbie Wilson Mixon of Maben; her husband Barry Mims; one sister Libby (Danny Paul) McMullen of Maben; and one brother, Darold Mixon of Mathiston.

Care of Eupora for the kindness and care she received there.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at Wise Reed Funeral Home, with the service following at 11:00 A.M in the Wise Reed Chapel. A graveside service will also be held in the Wise Reed Chapel. Pallbearers are Austin Bailey, Bryson Bailey, Mark Bailey, Justin Mansell, Brad Parkerson, and Cannon Parkerson. Honorary Pallbearers are Josh Anderson, John Ballard, Cruz Bailey, Ashley Goodwin, Pat Goodwin, Caleb Kelly, Eddie Martin, and Ken Smith. Wise Reed Funeral Home is overseeing all arrangements.
