Nina Lou Pennington passed away July 7, 2026.

Nia was born March 16, 1949, to J.B. Pennington and Ada Ruth Pennington.

Nina loved and cherished her church family at Spring Valley Baptist Church in Mathiston, MS. While at church she enjoyed the fellowship, gatherings, and 5th Sunday meetings. She loved her dog Gabby and enjoyed taking her for walks.

Nina is survived by her brother Bobby Joe Pennington (Deborah) of Maben, MS and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Nina is preceded in death by her parents J.B. Pennington and Ada Ruth Pennington; one brother Billy Pennington and one sister Nora Ann Pennington Landry.

The family asked in lieu of flowers to make donations to Wise Reed Funeral Home to help cover expenses.

Nina is being cremated per her wishes. The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
