Major J'don Barr gained his heavenly wings July 1, 2019. Major was born on April 10, 2018 to Jasmyne Breann Thomas and Twaskie DonJ Barr.

Though Major only spent fourteen months on Earth, he impacted the lives of many with his beautiful smile and energetic spirit. Major loved to dance, run, laugh, and play. He was so happy, silly, and charming. Major brought joy and light to everyone around him. He was the apple of our eye, the spring in our steps, the song in our hearts, and the light of our lives. Major was and is so loved. He will live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever.

Major is survived by his loving parents, Jasmyne Breann Thomas and Twaskie Donj Barr, and his brother, Maverick Marcell Barr. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Marlin and Kelly Thomas; paternal grandparents, Roshanda and Elton Davidson, Twaskie Sr and Jerry Tumblin; paternal great grandparents, Jessie and Johnnie Barr; maternal great grandparents, Mable and Bill Thomas, Corrine and Samuel Medders; aunts, Hayley Thomas, Kayla Liggins, Quatesha Johnson; uncles, Marlin (MJ) and Kayson Thomas; Jamiya, Isaiah, and Elisia Barr; as well as other relatives and friends who loved him so.

Major is preceeded by Phyllis Schellenbeger, Glenn Heimbuch, Lessie and William Thomas, Ricky Cooper, Marcell Barr, and Scott Thomas.

Funeral Services for Major J'don Barr will be Friday, July 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Chester Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Chester Baptist Church. Burial will be in Chester Baptist Cemetery. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
