Lynda Joyce Lamb

December 25, 1949 - July 9, 2026

Tomnolen, Mississippi

Lynda Joyce Lamb, 76, entered her heavenly home on July 9, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. She was the beloved aunt, sister, sister-in-law, and friend to so many. Her parents were the former Alvin and Tilda Lamb of Tomnolen, Mississippi.

Lynda lived in the Tomnolen Community her entire life. She attended Eupora Schools and graduated as valedictorian in her senior class. She continued her education at Holmes Junior College where she majored in Business and received her associate’s degree. Upon graduation she was hired by Webster County Schools as the Eupora Elementary School secretary and office manager. She happily served in this position for fifty years.

Lynda had a gift of caring for everyone whose life she touched, making each person feel special. She was loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing her. With her sweet smile and greetings, she always put parents and students at ease through her many years of service at Eupora Elementary School. She was there long enough to "train" many administrators, principals, and teachers. Everyone loved her and felt that she was a special friend.

Lynda loved deeply. She loved her precious family with a great devotion for each one. She lived with her parents and sister until their death where she continued to nurture other members of her family. She had a special place in her heart for her nephews, Travis and Beau, and her niece, Kelly. She will be greatly missed by all.

Lynda was survived by one brother William Warren “Bill” Lamb; one sister Etta Juanita Lamb; two nephews Travis Lamb and Beau Lamb Westmoreland and one niece Kelly Lamb;

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents James Alvin Lamb and Tilda Josephine Fulce and three brothers John Harvey Lamb, James Alvin Lamb, and Travis Lynn Lamb Sr.

A private family service was held Sunday July 12, 2026, at Wise Reed Funeral Home. She was laid to rest at Ebenezer Cemetery.
