Obituary

Reese Parker passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 18, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply. She was born on January 13, 2008, to Robyn Bowen and Freddie Parker of Eupora.
Reese was bold, strong-willed, and full of personality. She was quick to speak her mind, and this grit and determination was only part of what made her special. She had a quick sense of humor, a beautiful smile, and a presence that made her easy to love. She brought laughter and energy wherever she went. She loved her family fiercely, and the bond she shared with them will forever remain a treasured gift. Though her life was far too short, the impact she made in 18 years will never be forgotten. Reese professed her faith in Jesus Christ, and that gives her family comfort in the midst of unimaginable sorrow. While we do not understand why her life was taken so suddenly, we hold onto the promise found in 1 Thessalonians 4:13–14: “We do not grieve as those who have no hope. Our grief is deep, but so is our trust in the Lord.” We also cling to the assurance of 2 Corinthians 5:8, that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Finally, we are leaning on the words of Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Reese leaves behind her parents, Robyn Bowen (Matt) and Freddie Parker, all of Eupora; two grandmothers, Nancy Davis of Eupora and Mary Beale (Milton) of Carthage; one brother, Austin Davis; four sisters, Jaimie Parker (Tucker), Jessica Parker, Kimberly Parker (Randy) and Mary Frances Bowen; three nieces, Oakley, Kaylee, and Skyler; one nephew, Ethan; along with many relatives and friends who will cherish her memory always. Reese was loved beyond measure and will be missed beyond words. She was preceded in death by four grandparents, Ricky Elmore, Mack Davis, Shirley Buckner, and Robert Buckner; and one sister, Rickie Parker.
