Kimberly Dykes, aged 26, passed away at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, Mississippi on February 2, 2022. She was married to Donovan Dykes. Her parents were Wendell Ray McClurg, Jr. and Stephanie Baker Mullen.

Kimberly Nicole Dykes was born on May 8, 1995, in Greenwood, Mississippi. Upon graduating from J. Z. George in 2014, she married her high school sweetheart. She lived in Starkville Mississippi with her husband and three small children who are aged 2, 3, and 4. She began working for Northeast Mississippi Medical Center in West Point, Mississippi. She was a loving mom, wife, daughter, and granddaughter. Kim loved life, her family, and her job. She always wanted to work in the medical field. Date nights, riding around with her husband, and being with her girls were the most special things in her life. She was always taking pictures and making memories.

Kim is survived by her husband, Donovan Dykes; three children, Emmalyn Grace Dykes, Layla Novalee Dykes, and Scarlett Nicole Dykes; her mom, Stephanie (Donald) Mullen of Grenada, Mississippi; her dad, Ray (Jan) McClurg of Gadsden, Alabama; maternal grandparents, Allene Brown of Greenwood, Mississippi; and paternal grandparents, Margaret (Bill) Lindsay of Sidon, Mississippi and Wendell (Shelia) McClurg of Jacksonville, Alabama; five sisters, Tiffany Hope McClurg of Greenwod, Stacy (Nick) Clanton of Gadsden, Alabama, Ashlynn Mullen of Grenada, Caitland (Jamie) Winters of Grenada, and Haley McKay of Grenada; and four brothers, Anthony Ray McClurg of Grenada, Mississippi, Wayne (Katie) Brown of Gadsden, Alabama, Jacob Mullen, and James Mullen of Grenada, Mississippi; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kim is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Steve Baker, and her uncle, Steven Baker.

Funeral service for Kimberly Nicole McClurg Dykes will be Monday, February 7, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Chester Baptist Church in the Chester Community of Choctaw County. Visitation will be prior to the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Burial will be at the Chester Baptist Church Cemetery. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
