Kenard Alvin Bell age 81, passed away on November 7, 2020 at Choctaw Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ackerman, Mississippi. He was born on February 3, 1939 to the late Billie Naron and Maudie Lee Wofford Bell. He was married to Judy " J. B." Bell for twenty-eight years at the time of his death.

At an early age Mr. Alvin began working in a sawmill. He worked as a welder for Moody Manufacturing in Maben, Mississippi through the 1960's and 1970's and then began working for Sly Manufacturing. In any of his jobs whether it was welding, clearing land, or working with his cows, he prided himself in always doing quality work. He was married to Sarah Lee Malone for twenty-two years and together they reared three children. He loved his children and grandchildren. His grandchildren always loved his singing the "Green Berry Tree Song" to them. He was a fan of the New Orleans Saints football team and did attend some of their games. He was a member of Ellison Ridge Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Carol "J.B." Bell of Louisville, Mississippi; two sons, Kenneth (Vicki) Bell of Mathiston, Mississippi and Randall (Kristy) Bell of the Dancy Community; one daughter, Melissa (Mark) Berry of the Dancy Community; one sister, Ginger (Bobby) Eaves of New Hope, Mississippi; seven grandchildren, Paul Bell, Jason Bell, Peyton Bell, Brittany Bell, Kacie Bell, Garrett Berry, and Jordan Berry; and nine great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Billie Naron and Maudie Lee Wofford Bell; two brothers, James Bell and Robert Bell; two sisters, Mildred Thompson and Nellie Mae Frost; and one grandchild, Wesley Bell.

A private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Burial will be at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
