Kathey Smith, age 67, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, Mississippi. She was born on December 24, 1956.
Kathey lived her life devoted to the Lord. She loved the Lord and told everyone about Him. She was a member and attended West Point Church of God and occasionally attended West Eupora Church of God with her daughter Kelley. She loved both of her church families dearly.
Kathey loved to fish, sing, and she crocheted blankets for everyone. She loved her family and spending time with them. Although she loved her children dearly, her grand and great grandchildren were her heart.
Kathey is survived by her son Jackie Smith (Toni) of Columbus, Mississippi, her two daughters, Kimberly Brown (Matthew) of Eupora, Mississippi and Kelley Strider (Jesse) of Eupora, Mississippi; twelve grandchildren Taylor Smith Of Columbus, MS, Tyler Smith of Ackerman, MS, Drake Clements, Logan Clements of Columbus MS, Payton Clements, Jackson Clements both of Eupora, MS, Charlee Wade Brown of Ackerman, MS, Brooklynn, Jynnifer, Tyler, Taylor and Matthew Strider all of Eupora, MS; one great grandchild, Avery Cooper of Columbus, MS
She is preceded in death by her husband Jack B Smith; her parents Gary and Mary Etheridge, her brother Terry Beck; her sister Bonnie K Waller; her uncle Revis Shelton and her aunt Betty Shelton, who helped raise her.
Services for Kathey Smith will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 2 p.m. at West Point Church of God. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at West Point Church of God. The pallbearers are Taylor Smith, Tyler Smith, Drake Clements, Matthew Brown, Shannon Siklas, and Lee Calvert. Graveside and Committal Services will be held at Memorial Gardens in Lowndes County. Officiates of the services are Reverend Jesse Strider, Reverend Brian Stockton, Reverend Lilly Gay Stockton, and Reverend Christine Madison. Wise Reed Funeral Home will oversee all arrangements.
