J.W. Lee

J.W. Lee, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023, at the age of 80. He was born J.W. Lee, in Big Creek, MS, on June 24, 1943, to Elmer L. Lee and Eleanora Vaughn Lee .

J.W. worked as a self-employed concrete contractor. He lived his entire life in Mississippi. J.W. liked to work on cars, enjoyed fishing, and working with horses. He loved gardening and sharing the fruits of his labors with friends and family. His love of animals was especially directed to his dog, BB, his loyal and faithful friend.

J.W. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Lee and Eleanora Vaughn Lee; his wife, Joyce McKee Lee; brother, Larry Lee.

He is survived by his son, Jason Lee of Mathiston; siblings, Cecil Lee of Grenada and Ann Kelly of Greenwood; one granddaughter, Kristen Rowe.

A visitation for Mr. Lee will take place on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 10 until 11:00 am at Wise Reed Funeral Home with services to follow at 11:00 am in the Wise Reed Funeral Home Chapel. Interment take place at a later date determined by the family. Officiating will be Brother Billy Michael Trull.
