Judy Faye McGowan Johnson, 73, passed away December 10, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, Mississippi. She was born January 20, 1945 to Forrest Bedford and Bettie Van Buren Sullivan McGowan. Mrs. Johnson was a retired traveling nurse.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, Vernon (Vivian) Johnson of Eupora, Mississippi; a daughter-in-law, Jessica Johnson; four daughters, Kelly Lomax of California, Alma (Alvin) James of Carthage, Mississippi, Luna (Teddy) Stafford of Eupora, and Charity (Jeffrey) James; one sister, Nell (Dwight) Younger of Cottage Grove, Tennessee; twenty-two grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Bettie McGowan; her husband, Elbert Johnson, Sr.; two sons, Michael Johnson, and Elbert "Butch" Johnson, Jr.; one sister, Doris.
