Jonathan "Jon Boy" Flemings

Jonathan "Jon Boy" Flemings, aged 47, passed away on May 6, 2020. Mr. Flemings is the son of Wanda Hillhouse Flemings and the late Burl Flemings.

Jonathan, known affectionately to family and friends as "Jon Boy", was a lifetime resident of Mississippi and graduated from East Webster High School. He enjoyed sports, coaching, and was a great pitcher. His favorite sports team was Ole Miss. He loved his children dearly. He was of the Baptist faith and a former member of the Clarkson Baptist Church.

Jonathan is survived by his mother, Wanda Hillhouse Flemings; two sons, Jonathan Brock Flemings and his fiancé, Mariah Coste, of Starkville, Mississippi, and Michael Trent (Nikki) Johnson of Mathiston; a daughter, Marlee Nicole Palmertree and her fiancé, Trea Gordon, of Noxapater, Mississippi; two brothers, Thomas (Janet) Flemings of the Clarkson Community and Jessie (Linda Gale) Flemings of Walthall, Mississippi; and six grandchildren, Krosten Gordon, Kohen Gordon, Ross Johnson, Libby O'Briant, Abby Rodgers, and Mollie Rodgers. A host of nieces and nephews also survive him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Burl Flemings; and grandfather, Thomas Hillhouse.

A small visitation for close friends and family will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 8, 2020 from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. Wise Reed Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
