Johnny Robert Reed

Johnny Robert Reed, age 76 passed away peacefully to his heavenly home on June20,2023 at Diversacare in Eupora, MS. He was the son of the late Richard King and Louise Evan Reed. He was married to the late Sue Ann Hatcher Reed.

Johnny was a kind, soft-spoken person to everyone he met. He cared for others and was always dedicated to his former wife, Sue Ann, and his son, Adam. He graduated from Cleveland High School and attended cosmetology school. He and his wife moved to Texas where he taught in a cosmetology school. In 1986, he and Sue Ann moved to Winona and lived there for about sixteen years. In 1986 they moved to Eupora where they reared their son, Adam. They were happily married for forty-five years. During his retirement years he enjoyed watching television and keeping his house clean. They attended The Church of God in Eupora, Mississippi.

Johnny is survived by his son, Virgil Adam Hatcher, and one grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, "Richard King and Louise Evon Robinson Reed; his wife, Sue Ann Hatcher Reed; and two brothers, Billy Thomas Reed, and Gerald Reed.

Funeral service for Johnny Robert Reed will be at 11:00 a.m. on June 23, 2023, at Wise Reed Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the funeral from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
