John Robert Hall

May 21, 1956 – June 4, 2023

John Robert Hall passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, MS, on June 4, 2023. He was born in MS on May 21, 1956, to H. Leighton Hall and Georgia Gilmore Hall.

John lived in Maben most of his life where he ran the Glove Factory in Maben until its closure; then worked in wastewater management at Plymouth Tube until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman, participating in many Bass tournaments and winning several. He was a crappie fisherman and enjoyed running Walker dogs in the fox pens. As well as being a participant in the fox pen hunts, he also judged them.

John Hall is survived by his wife Melissa Holloway Hall; two (step) children, Marcus G. Pepper (Rachel) of Pennsylvania, and Rachael Lindsey (Sloane) of Sturgis, MS; one brother, Tom Hall (Robbie) of New Albany, MS, two grandchildren; Bailey Layton Harvey (Brynn) and McKinsey Claire Harvey; seven step grandchildren, and one great grandchild, Bryar Latham Harvey.

He is preceded in death by his parents, H. Leighton and Georgia Gilmore Hall and one daughter, Lisa Nichole Harvey.

A Memorial visitation and service for friends and family of Mr. Hall will be held June 7, 2023, at 11:00 am at Wise Reed Funeral Home. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
