John David Ezell, 61, passed away at his home in the Clarkson Community on December 4, 2019. He was born on February 5, 1958 to Billy Ray and Virginia Prather Ezell.

After graduating from Dover, Delaware Air Force Base High School, Mr. Ezell worked various jobs from oil rigs to truck driving. He retired from being self-employed as a truck driver and moved to his present home in the Clarkson Community. Always seen wearing his overalls he enjoyed hunting and fishing. "Uncle Dave" or "Uncle J. D." as he was lovingly called by his many nieces and nephews was an avid Atlanta Braves and New Orleans Saints fan.

Mr. Ezell is survived by a brother, William Bruce Ezell of Robertsdale, Alabama; three sisters, Carolyn Henley and Beverly Lott both of Mathiston, Mississippi and Stephanie Ezell of Robertsdale, Alabama; and many nieces, nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Ray and Virginia Prather Ezell.

Graveside service for Mr. John David Ezell will be Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Clarkson Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Bro. Dean Butler. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
