A native of Chester, MS, Jimmie Wayne moved to Tomnolen, MS as a young lad, where he cultivated connections with the community. He dedicated over three decades of his life to working for Roadway Trucking in Meridian, MS, leaving behind an indelible mark with his commitment and hard work.

Jimmie Wayne's passion for woodworking was a testament to his creative spirit. He crafted beautiful pieces that reflected his talent, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship that will be cherished by those who knew him.

Jimmie Orr is survived by his devoted wife, Ann Atkins Orr, and their son Phillip W Orr, both residing in Merdian, MS. He is preceded in death by his father Merlen Orr, his mother Lena Mcgaugh Orr, three brothers Edwin Orr, W.C. Orr and Warren Dale Orr.

Services for Jimmie Wayne Orr will be Friday, January 19, 2024. Visitation will be at 10 am until 11 am, and funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment will be at Mount Vernon Cemetery. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
