Jerry Richard Gilbert

Jerry Richard Gilbert, age 56, passed away on Saturday, January 20,2023, in his home in Eupora, Mississippi. He was born on November 22, 1966, to Albert Lee Gilbert, Sr and Syble Jean Fountain.

Jerry was known as a man with a strong work ethic. He worked almost 30 years as a forklift driver and supervisor at Hudspeth Wood Products in Maben. His family said he loved to make people laugh and buying and trading vehicles was his passion.

Jerry Gilbert is preceded in death by his father, Albert Lee Gilbert Sr and his daughter, Paige McKee.

Mr. Gilbert is survived by his mother, Syble Jean Fountain Gilbert; his wife, Barbra Gilbert of Pheba, MS; three daughters: Shelby Gilbert, Dana Branum, and Daphne Whitaker: four brothers; Albert Gilbert (Ella), David Gilbert, Larry Gilbert (Belinda), and William Gilbert; and one sister; Syble Mcalpin (James).

Funeral services for Mr. Gilbert will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 11 AM with visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Wise Reed Funeral Home in Eupora. Burial will be at Bluff Springs Cemetery in Choctaw County.

Officiating the services will be Brother James Edwards. Pallbearers will be Roger Turner III, Larry L. Gilbert, Kody Gilbert, Seth Gilbert, Ryan Gilbert, Richard Gilbert, and Phillip Gilbert. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Scott Edwards, Scott Jones, and Tim Edwards.
