Jerry Lynn Britt, 60, of Starkville, Mississippi passed away on March 11, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 18, 1957 to James Russell and Ella Jeanne Britt.

Jerry was one of 5 sons of a military family; who traveled from post to post. Although, he spent most of his life in the Starkville and Eupora area. He was formerly married to Faye Phillips. His professional life was spent painting and contracting.

Having four brothers Jerry was considered the logical one of them. He enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together again just to see how they worked. His eight nephews and two nieces were a joy to him because he loved his family so much. Jerry was Pentecostal and attended New Life Worship Center in the Bradley Community.

Jerry Britt is survived by one daughter, Angela Lynn Britt; one step-daughter, Tonya Brooks Huffman; three brothers, James Morris "Marty" Britt (wife, Miriam) of Starkville, Mississippi, Terry Glenn Britt (wife, Kim) of Hometown, Illinois, and Dennis Russell Britt (wife, Cindy) of Moss Point, Mississippi; two step-grandchildren, Chandler Huffman Blalock (husband, Lee) and Morgan Huffman; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry Britt is preceded in death by his parents, James Russell and Ella Jeanne Britt; his former wife, Faye Ellen Phillips; and his brother, Larry Gene Britt.

Visitation for Mr. Jerry Lynn Britt will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Wise Reed Funeral Home in Eupora, Mississippi. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. on March 15, 2019 with Brother Donny Davis officiating. Burial will follow in North Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Kilmichael, Mississippi. Pallbearers will be Frank Britt, Joel Britt, Scott Britt, Kaleb Britt, Lee Blalock, and Joe Huffman. Wise-Reed Funeral Home in Eupora, Mississippi is in charge of all arrangements.
