Janie Johnson, age 70, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Diversicare in Eupora, Mississippi. She was born on August 31, 1952, to Margret Murphy and James Allen Busby.

Janie was a lifelong resident of Ackerman, Mississippi. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She loved all animals but especially her dogs she had throughout the years.

Janie is survived by her sister, Florene Holloway (Wren) of Mathiston, Mississippi; one nephew, Jason Holloway (Amy) of Mathiston, Mississippi; and two nieces, Tanya Morgan (Glen) of Ackerman, Mississippi and Donna McKinney (Mitch) of Ackerman, Mississippi.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Johnson; and her parents, Margaret Murphy and James Allen Busby.

A funeral service for Janie Johnson will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home in Eupora, Mississippi. A visitation will be Monday, October 31, 2022 on from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home in Eupora, Mississippi. Burial will follow at Antioch Community Church Cemetery. Officiating the services will be Brother Brent Mansco and Brother Ralph Cain. Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
