James Thomas "Tommy" Griffin

James Thomas "Tommy" Griffin, 79, passed away November 18, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, Mississippi. He was born July 30, 1939 to James Thomas and Carey Spears Griffin.

Mr. Griffin graduated from Maben High School. After serving in the Army he came to Eupora, Mississippi and became a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed following college sports, especially football. Having only two grandchildren, he felt like they were his world. Throughout his life he was a Baptist. He was a member of Harmony Freewill Baptist Church of Eupora, Mississippi.

Mr. Griffin is survived by a son, David Kilgore of Perkinston, Mississippi; daughter, Kelly Schaaf and her husband Paul of Madison, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Cade Kilpatrick and Kendall Kilpatrick; and extended family Regis Kilpatrick of Eupora, Mississippi.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Carey Spears Griffiin; his wife, Kathy Griffin; and a brother, John Floyd Griffin.

Visitation will be at Wise Reed Funeral Home on day, November 19, 2018, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at Wise Reed Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20,2018. Officiating will be Brother Charles White. Pallbearers will be John Mark Kilpatrick, David Wright, Richard Walker, Herbert Wooten, Seth Gillette, and Chris Leggett. Burial will be at Hebron Cemetery in Webster County, Mississippi. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
