Harold Douglas Hodges

Harold Douglas Hodges, aged 78, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, Mississippi. He was the husband of Martha Hodges and the son of the late Ira Estell and Rosa Nell Cooper Hodges.

Harold was a hard-working, good father who was willing to do anything for anyone. After attending Mathiston School, he worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He also had worked as a brick mason and barber. Mr. Hodges was of the Baptist faith.

Harold is survived by his wife, Martha Hodges, of Mathiston; his son, Douglas Todd (Bridget) Hodges of Longview, Mississippi; a daughter, Janet Hodges of Mathiston; two brothers, Don Hodges of McComb, Mississippi and Harry Hodges of Mathiston, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Jeanne Claire Hodges, Corbin Walters, Chapin Walters, and Cutter Cable; one sister, JoNell Nichols of Mathiston, Mississippi; and one great-granddaughter, Kennedy Walters.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ira Estell and Rosa Nell Cooper Hodges, and four brothers, Marion Hodges, Howard Hodges, Bud Hodges, and David Hodges.

Services for Harold Douglas Hodges will be Friday, July 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Sapa Cemetery in Webster County. Visitation will be prior to the funeral from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home in Eupora, Mississippi. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all services.
