Hallie Irene Peeples Robinson

Hallie Irene Peeples Robinson, 93, passed away at Columbus Baptist Golden Triangle Hospital on November 22, 2019 surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on September 15, 1926 to James Boley and Eva Hannah Peeples.

Ms. Hallie lived an enriched full life. She was a lifetime resident of Webster County and with her husband, Estel Robinson, reared a family of three children. She worked over 20 years at Wells Lamont where she gained many life-long friends. After her husband passed away, Ms. Hallie enjoyed being home among her familiar surroundings. Known as "Nanaw" to those who loved her, she regularly prepared meals featuring her delicious fried deer meat and chocolate pie or lemon pie. Before losing her eyesight, she enjoyed Swedish embroidery. In her later years she never failed to look forward to her Friday outings to the beauty shop and grocery shopping. Using her pleasant sense of humor, she showed her devotion as a mother to her family whom she loved dearly. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Danny (Judy) Robinson of Eupora, MS; two daughters, Donna (Harold) Elkins of Cedar Bluff, MS and Diane (Elton) Dorroh of Eupora, MS; six grandchildren, Lane (Rachel) Robinson, Stephen (Shea) Dorroh, Joe Robinson, Chad (Ashlee) Elkins, Shea (Stacey) Elkins, and Matt (Hailey) Elkins; and ten great-grandchildren, Hannah and Hallie Ashley, Seth and Shepard Dorroh, Kathryn Robinson, Emily and Ethan Elkins, Levi and Tucker Elkins, and Braelyn Elkins. She is also survived by her dog and constant companion, Bella.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Estel Robinson; a granddaughter, Stephanie Dorroh Ashley; her parents, James Boley and Eva Hannah Peeples; brothers, Everett, Avery, and James Boley Peeples Jr.; and one sister, Lela Jenkins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hallie Peeples Robinson will be Monday November 25, 2019 at Wise Reed Funeral Home at 11:00AM. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday November 24, 2019 at Wise Reed Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Officiating the services will be Brother Martin Carden and Brother Henry Robinson. Pallbearers will be Lane Robinson, Stephen Dorroh, Joe Robinson, Chad Elkins, Shea Elkins, and Matt Elkins. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
