G. W. Howard

G. W. Howard, age 90, passed away on October 26, 2020 at his home. He was born on November 24, 1929 to the late George and Louise Virginia Charleston Howard.

Mr. Howard graduated from Greenville High School. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Greenville Baptist Church. In December of 1950 he enlisted in the United States Army where he served for two years. He served as a security guard at Jantrain Marine Company for the Port of Rosedale, in Rosedale, Mississippi. He was a loyal employee. After retirement in 1988 he moved back to Webster County.

He is survived by two nephews, Joe Howard and James Howard, one niece, Frances (Thomas) Howard Pierce, and two caregivers, Rebecca Nall and Stephanie Swindoll.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Louise Virginia Charleston, and two sisters, Doris Mae Moore and Bessie Lee Helms.

Services will be held on Friday, November 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Wise Reed Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
