Frankie Lynn Walker, age 67, passed away September 19, 2024, at his residence in Pheba, Mississippi. He was born in West Point, MS on September 16, 1957, to J.L. and Billie Sue Brewer Walker. Frank was married to Joy Schaffer where they joined their families and lived harmoniously for thirty-six years. He worked at B&W as a fitter/welder until his retirement.
Frank was a man who never met a stranger. Love is a word describing Frank Walker's life. He has been referred to by his pastor as a "kid magnet". Children fondly call him "Papaw "and he loved riding them on his side by side and attending kids' ballgames.
He was very strong in his faith and was a loyal and beloved member of Pheba Baptist Church.
Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his mother Billie Sue Walker; in-laws, R.B. and Geraldine Schaffer; brother in-law Keith Cox; one niece Emma Grace Hayes, and nephew Michael Liam White.
Frank Walker is survived by his wife Joy Schaffer Walker; his father, J.L. Walker; two sons; Justin Harpole (Terasa) of Cumberland, and Jarod Harpole (Britteny) of Dancy ; a daughter Courtney Ward (Curt) of West Point; brother Nick Walker (Debi) of Pheba; sisters Pam Cox and Lisa McKee (Kenneth) both of Pheba; grandchildren Walker Ward, Kitty Ward, Sawyer Harpole, Emma Barnes Harpole, Paytan Sanders, Boston Sanders, Griffin Sanders, and Schaffer Ann Harpole.
A visitation for Frank Walker will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Pheba Baptist Church in Pheba, MS. Funeral services will be held at Pheba Baptist Church on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM officiated by Brother Terry Rhodes. Graveside service will be held at Pheba Cemetery in Clay County, MS. Wise Reed Funeral Home will oversee all arrangements.
