Evelyn Dean, age 70 of Eupora, MS, passed away on Saturday, May 2,2026 at Diversicare in Eupora, MS. Evelyn was born on July 17, 1955, in Choctaw County, MS to James and Wilmer Dean. Evelyn was the youngest of seven siblings.

She is survived by her son, Chad Ballard (Kelly) and sister Ruby Dean.

She is preceded in death by her parents , James Ermon Dean and Wilmer (Wilson) Dean: three brothers, James Wayne Dean, Lonnie Dean and Paul Dean; two sisters, Wilma Zell (Buck) Dean and Erma Zell (Lampard) Dean.

She was a grandmother of Jozie Claire Ballard and an aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was a long term resident of Diversicare where she attended church and social functions weekly where she never met a stranger. She was loved by many and she will be missed.
