Erma Zell Lampard, age 83 of Eupora, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. She was born on November 6,1941 to James and Wilmer Dean. Erma Zell was raised in Choctaw County, MS, near the Stewart/Tomnolen area and attended school at Union Elementary and Weir High School.
Erma Zell was the oldest daughter of seven siblings. In her youth she enjoyed school and church functions and fishing on the creek banks with her sister. Later in life, her primary enjoyment came from spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
Erma Zell is survived by her Children: Mickey Burton, Lynn Burton (Kathy), Toni (Keith)Burton Sellers, Jeff Burton(Geannie),Freda (Charlie)Burton Jones, Rena (Glen)Burton Swindoll, Mark Lampard(Stacy),Teddy Lampard, Joseph Lampard (Lisa), Paula (Tony) Lampard Bostic, Tera (Maury) Lampard Jones, and Teresa Lampard.
Her sisters Ruby Dean and Evelyn Dean.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Ermon Dean and Wilmer (Wilson) Dean; husband, Ray A. Lampard; one daughter, Jennifer R. Lampard; three brothers, James Wayne Dean, Lonnie Dean, and Paul Dean; one sister, Wilma Zell (Buck) Dean.
She was a Grandmother of 26,Great Grandmother of 16,Aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a friend to many.
She loved each and everyone of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was loved by many and she will be missed. She never met a stranger.

All Services will be held at New Haven Baptist Church, 6690 Stewart Weir Road, Weir, MS 39772 on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at New Haven Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. Pallbearers will be Mathew Ray, Elijah Lampard, Glen Swindol, Charlie Jones, Lang Sellers, and Maury Jones. Officiating the services will be Brother Charles White and Sister Linda Dempsey. Musicians will be Teressa Simpson, Eli Gore and Raegan Lewis. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
