Earlene Swindoll Staggs, 94, passed away on December 11, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, Mississippi. She was born on December 16, 1929, to William and Minnie Weeks Swindoll.

A lifetime resident of Webster County, Earlene was an independent woman who could and would do anything she set her mind to. She was married for forty-seven years to Bob Staggs. Together, they raised two children, Hubert and Janice.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Eupora where she enjoyed attending Sunday School and Worship Services. She worked for many years at Garan in Eupora pressing and inspecting garments. In retirement, she enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flowers, and loved reading, but every Thursday while her health held out, she especially enjoyed shopping trips with her daughter. She treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Earlene is survived by her son, Hubert Staggs (Rita) of Eupora; her daughter, Janice Gary (Gerald) of Eupora; five grandchildren: Amanda Staggs, Ashley McAtee (Justin), Reagan Gary (Trisha), Linda Tucker (Steven) and Joseph Beam (Megan); five great-grandchildren Brady Jackson, Porter Gary, Nora Jane Gary, Jonathan Riley Gary and Kaylee Williams.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Minnie Swindoll; her husband, Calvin "Bob" Staggs; one brother, Cleve Swindoll and five sisters: Druscilla Card, Lavora Hopkins, Braskey Card, Paulene Melton and Orene Weeks.
