Dorothy Graves Wright, 96, passed away December 20, 2018 at Eupora Long Term Care in Eupora, Mississippi. She was born May 27, 1922 to George Barney and Julia Edna Stokes Graves. She is preceded in death by her husband, Haven Dillard Wright.

Mrs. Wright graduated from Liberty High School and attended a Bible College. After marriage and moving to Mantee, Mississippi, she taught piano lessons at Cumberland High School. Later she taught private piano lessons in her home. She devoted her life to being a homemaker. Her family stated that everyone especially loved her chocolate pie. She lived a rich, full life.

Mrs. Wright is survived by her son, Jim Wright of Mantee, Mississippi; one daughter, Pam (Philip) Vedros of Vicksburg, Mississippi; and one granddaughter, Merrin Elizabeth Wright of Columbus, Mississippi.

Mrs. Wright is preceded in death by her parents, George Barney and Julia Edna Stokes Graves; her husband, Haven Dillard Wright; two brothers, French Ward "Monk" Graves and Paul Graves; and one grandson, Jarod Daniel Clark.

A visitation will be at Wise Reed Funeral Home on Saturday, December 22, 2018, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Clarkson Cemetery in Webster County. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
