David Barry Kilgore, age 59, of Perkinston, passed away February 14, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana. He was a firm believer in our Lord Jesus Christ, and his willingness to forgive our shortcomings and sins. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Eupora; however, he attended Landmark Baptist church in Wiggins.

He was a graduate of Eupora High School, Mississippi State University, Itawamba Community College and Wood Junior college. He received a bachelor’s degree from MSU in business administration, worked as an HR specialist for a number of years. Then went on to earn a degree in Nursing and worked over 20 years as the vice president of operations and bedside nursing. He was also a travel nurse going to several states but always returning to Mississippi.

He enjoyed spending time with his small family especially helping mold his nieces and nephews to be the successful adults they have become. Also, enjoyed fishing, and obtaining his antique collection throughout the US in his travels.

Most people have one mother, I was fortunate to have had two, my mother, and Bigmama, my grandmother, who in stilled in me the morals I have today.

Preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Griffin; Bigmama, Moree Vaughan; father, Barlie Kilgore and stepfather, Tommy Griffin.

Survived by Richard Walker, Kelli Kilpatrick, Cade Kilpatrick, Kendall Kilpatrick, Donna Walker, Davis Walker, Parker Bond, Kirkland Bond, Emily Johnson, E’dee Liles, Avery Liles and special friends, Joy Warden and Nettie Merle Alexander.
