Clyde Jeanette Schaefer Patridge, aged 76, passed away at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, Mississippi on April 28, 2020. Mrs. Patridge is the wife of Thomas Wayne Patridge and daughter of the late Walter Orville and Zubie Mae Lamb Schaefer.
Mrs. Patridge was a member of the Grady Community in Eupora, Mississippi. She married her childhood sweetheart, Thomas Wayne Patridge, and raised a family of four daughters and two sons. They would have been married for sixty-one years on May 30, 2020. Her family lovingly say that their daddy was the rock and their mother was the glue that held them all together. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved drawing and painting and teaching her grandbabies how to draw and paint. Clyde was always dressed immaculately and had a gracious smile for everyone. She was a lifelong member of Lebanon United Methodist Church in the Grady Community.
Mrs. Patridge is survived by her husband, Thomas Wayne Patridge; two sons, Jerry Wayne (Bobbie Jean) Patridge and Corbet Waylon Patridge; four daughters, Carla Wynette (Rodney Lee) Miles, Sherry Jayne (James Herbert) Crowley, Miranda Yvonne (Billy) Hood of Pheba, Mississippi, and Audrey Gail (Barry Lynn) Rushing; thirteen grandchildren, Josh Miles, Crystal Kelley, Peter Miles, Michael Patridge, Jeremy Patridge, Casey Patridge, Zackary Crowley, Rosette Hardin, Shayne Anderson, Manda Lowther, Anna Hartzog, Barry Rushing, Jr. and Andrew Rushing; sixteen great grandchildren; one brother, Walter Orville Schaefer; one sister, Cheryl Jean Smith of Mathiston, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Orville and Zubie Mae Lamb Schaefer and one brother, Vernon Hugh Schaefer.
A funeral service for the family and friends will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Lebanon United Methodist Church in the Grady Community. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service. Reverend Ron McDougald will officiate the service with burial following in the Lebanan Cemetery. Pallbearers are Peter Miles, Andrew Rushing, Michael Patridge, Josh Miles, Casey Patridge, Lynn Rushing, Zack Crowley, and Shayne Anderson. Wise Reed Funeral Home assisted with all arrangements.
