Clifford Herbert Latham

Clifford Herbert Latham passed away at Golden Triangle Baptist Hospital in Columbus, MS, on May 22, 2023. He was born in Eupora, MS on January 10, 1928, to Clifford Latham and Mable Tot Lamb Latham.

Herbert spent three and a half years in the Air Force and worked as a regional bookkeeper for Shell Oil in Louisiana. After retiring from Shell in 1983, he moved back to Eupora and married Glenda Hodges Clouse on September 7, 1991. He was a member of the Lebanon Methodist Church. He celebrated his retirement by spending time doing activities such as fishing, gardening, and landscaping. His absolute favorite hobby was musical instruments and gathering with Hugh Lee Kilpatrick and Wilford Deskin for jam sessions involving banjos and guitars.

Herbert Latham is survived by his wife Glenda Latham; two (step) sons, Eric Clouse of Arkansas, and Vince Clouse (Amy) of Houston, MS; one (step) daughter, Dawn Anthony (Tony) of Eupora, MS, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mable Latham; three brothers, Wilbert, Robert, and Albert Latham; a niece, Marilyn Latham Hubbard and one nephew, Jimmy Latham.

A private Memorial Service for friends and family of Mr. Latham will be held May 24, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Wise Reed Funeral Home. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
