Christopher Michael Palmertree, 47, passed away on December 9, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi. He was born on August 1, 1972 to Bailey and Bobbie Ruth Dees Palmertree.

Christopher was a logger for Brad Tomlinson Logging. He loved his logging job, the outdoors, going to the races, and fishing. He was a member of the West Eupora Church of God and loved his church family dearly. The children in the church fondly called him "Candy Man" because he always had candy for them. His favorite hangout spot where he enjoyed talking to his "old" friends was McDonalds. He was a friend to everyone according to his family.

Mr. Palmertree is survived by his wife, Connie Palmertree of Eupora, MS; two daughters, Misty Lewis and Daphne Lewis; two sisters, Dawn (Shorty) Palmertree and Amber Palmertree of French Camp; and four grandsons, Kaiden Ashford, James Ashford, Amare Patterson, and Kamden Varner.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bailey and Bobbie Ruth Dees Palmertree.

The funeral service will be at Wise Reed Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2019. The visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home on Sunday, December 15, 2019. Officiating will be Brother Jesse Strider and Brother Jerry Hatcher. Pallbearers are Wesley Greene, Shorty Palmertree, Randy Williams, Brad Tomlinson, Shannon Siklas, and Clarence Patterson. Honorary Pallbearers are Brennan Tomlinson and Brandon Tomlinson. Burial will follow at Old Friendship Cemetery in the Poplar Creek Community in Montgomery County. In lieu of flowers please help share expenses for the funeral. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
