Cathy Ann Abbott Kimball, age 65, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023, in her sons' home. She was born on June 28, 1958, to Chester and Wanda Craig Abbott.

Cathy lived in Louisiana all her younger life until moving to Mississippi to be closer to her family 11 years ago. She loved her family and spent many years taking care of her brothers. Among her favorite things to do were fishing and watching soap operas. She attended Highways and Hedges Church in Choctaw County.

Cathy is survived by her six sons, Dusty Newman (Elisha) of Maben, Mississippi, Michael Newman (Beth) of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Zach Kimball of Jena, Louisiana, Joe Kimball (Megan) of Jena, Louisiana, Paul Kimball (Tameka) of Monterey, Louisiana, and James Kimball of Louisiana; one daughter, Katrina Tubbs (Kenneth) of Eupora, Mississippi; two brothers, Randy Abbott of Ackerman, Mississippi and Rusty Abbott of Ackerman, Mississippi; one sister, Joann Peeples (Rodger) of Ackerman, Mississippi; and a host of grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester, and Wanda Craig Abbott; ex-husband, Darrell Kimball; and one brother, Terry Abbott.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Wise Reed Funeral Home assisted with all arrangements.
