Bruce Wayne Tubbs, 62, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 10, 1957 to Dorothy Robert and Mattie Marie Ellis Tubbs.

Mr. Tubbs loved country music, George Jones was his favorite. He loved fishing and playing with his grandbabies. He was a great daddy and grandfather. His family will remember him most as being the one that "cut-up" and always made everyone laugh that was around him. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Walton Tubbs of Eupora, Mississippi; one son, Kenneth Tubbs of Florida; daughters, Tammy Walton, of Missouri, Jennifer (Brian) Tehan, of Florida, Rebekah Knudson, of Missouri, Dania Kennedy of Ackerman, Mississippi, Charlene Wilson of Arkansas, and Kelly (Jim) Hope of Walthall, Mississippi; one sister, Janie Denning (Clint) of Walthall, Mississippi; eighteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Robert and Mattie Marie Ellis Tubbs; two brothers, Buddy Tubbs and Ernest Tubbs; and two sisters, Fay Denning and Stella Marie Denning.

A memorial service will be held at Harmony Freewill Baptist Church at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
