Bonita Simmons Perego, aged 65, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, Mississippi. Ms. Perego is the wife of Kay A. Perego and the daughter of the late Eugene and Juanita Cook Simmons.

Bonita Perego was a lifetime resident of Mississippi. She was employed as the office manager for North Mississippi Home Health in Eupora, MS. She was a "real sweetheart" as her husband always said and was kind and good to everyone. Being active in the VFW she was a former president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post in Columbus and past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Eupora. She enjoyed traveling and being outside. She and her husband, Kay, used to enjoy riding the motorcycle together. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bellefontaine, Mississippi where she was an active member in Sunday School.

Bonita Perrigo is survived by her husband, Kay A. Perego; a son, Ryan E. Gregg, a step-son, Todd Perego of Pikeville, Kentucky; a daughter, Michelle (Donald) Robinson of Maben, Mississippi; one step daughter, Jill (Scott) Williams of Proctorville, Ohio; a sister Vanessa (Steve) Hodges of Eupora, Mississippi; an aunt, Jimmie (Lee) Collier of Cleveland, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Barney Robinson, Janie Nelson, Nichole Robinson and Adam Robinson; and five great grandchildren, Brantley, Braden, Adrian, Aden, and Elijah.

A celebration of life memorial service for Bonita Simmons Perego will be Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Bellefontaine, Mississippi at 11:00 a.m. Family visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. There will be no graveside services. Burial will follow at the Northeast Mississippi Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Kilmichael, Mississippi. Our sincere appreciation to Wise Reed Funeral Home assisting with the arrangements.
