Bobby Lee Boyd

Bobby Lee Boyd, passed away at Grenada Living Center in Grenada, MS, on May 7, 2023. He was born in Louisiana on December 31, 1937, to Oscar Austin Boyd and Ruby Lee McCoy Boyd.

Mr. Boyd was one of a family of fifteen children growing up in the 1930's. He was a hard-working man taking on various jobs from working in a mausoleum to selling Lays potato chips to farming. He mostly worked farming throughout Yazoo County. He liked fishing and racecars, but his passion was flying small planes.

Bobby is survived by four sons, Robert of Walthall, MS, Raymond (Tracey) of Colorado Springs, CO, Chris (Katherine) of Noblesville, IN, and Rex (Melanie) of Brandon, MS; two daughters, Tina Gatlin (Larry) of Eupora, MS and Cynthia Walls (Justin) of Gulfport, MS; twenty grandchildren, and a host great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Ruby Lee Boyd; his wife, Patty Lynn Koch Boyd and two daughters, Diane and Wanda Boyd

A memorial service honoring Bobby Boyd will be set by his children at a later date.
