Betty Jo Bollis Steadman

May 1, 1934– May 13, 2025

Ackerman, Mississippi

Our dear mother, Betty Jo Bollis Steadman, was born on May 1, 1934, to Uris Lucious and Brian Webster Bollis in Blytheville, Arkansas. Her parents both died when she was five. Her grandfather, Frank, and step grandmother, Maggie Bollis, took her and her brother, John Frank, in and raised them.

She leaves behind four children: Barbara Jo Steadman Quin of Eupora, Mississippi, Jimmy Dale "Bo" Steadman of Mathiston, Mississippi, Betty Sue Steadman Swindle of Mathiston, Mississippi, and Johnny Edwin Steadman (Peggy) of Mathiston, Mississippi. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She loved her life taking care of her children. She retired from Wells Lamont after 35 years, and after staying home for two weeks, decided it wasn't for her. She went back to work and worked at Cagles Corner, Red Kap, and Traceway.
