Bassie Marie Curtis

Bassie Marie Curtis, 57, passed away at her home on January 30, 2020. She was the daughter of Sarah Jean Schaefer and the late Dee Amore.

Marie is a lifetime resident of Webster County. She enjoyed spending time with her cat, Goldie. She spent her spare time sewing and making quilts, fishing, and playing games on her Ipad. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Dorsey, Mississippi. When asked about her beliefs she answered that she was ready for the Lord whenever the Lord called her.

Marie Curtis is survived by her mom, Sarah Jean Schaefer; her brother, Felix Charles (Rhonda) Curtis of the Sherwood Community; a sister, Angel Lee White of Dorsey, Mississippi; a very special first cousin, Walter O. Schaefer; and many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dee Amore.

Funeral services for Marie Curtis are Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery.
