Agnes Roberson, 87, passed away on July 7, 2020 at Choctaw Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ackerman, Mississippi. She was born on April 17, 1933 to Pete and Edna Crocker of Indianola, Mississippi. Agnes was married to the late W. C. Roberson.

Agnes was raised on a farm in Indianola, Mississippi where she enjoyed helping on the farm by milking the cows. After attending school in Indianola, Mrs. Roberson met W. C. and they moved to Webster County where they raised eight children. Agnes worked hard at various jobs to provide for her family. The family said that she was a great cook…especially her goulash casserole and "melt in your mouth" chicken and dumplings. She was known as a nice, sweet lady to everyone. She attended the Baptist church and the Church of God.

She is survived by four sons, Virner "Buster" (Pat) Roberson of Maben, Rodney Roberson of Ackerman, Rickey (Kayla) Roberson of Calhoun City, and Dewayne Roberson of Amory; three daughters, Jeanette Roberson of Jackson, Lisa Roberson, and Debbie Roberson of Ackerman; two brothers; four sisters; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Edna Crocker; her husband, W. C. Roberson; one daughter, Kay Latham; one brother, Charles Crocker; and one sister, Charlene James.

Services for Agnes Roberson will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. Officiating the services will be Brother Bobby Pogue and Brother Matt Pogue. Pallbearers are Matt Pogue, Bobby Pogue, Lance Pogue, Donald Jean Harrison, Stanley Harrison, Mark Barton, and Bert Parish. Burial will be at Mr. Vernon Cemetery. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
