Sue Ann Hatcher Reed, aged 66, passed at her home surrounded by her family in Eupora, Mississippi on August 4, 2021. She was the wife to the
Johnny Robert Reed and the daughter of the late Virgil Clark and Minnie Mae Gilbert Hatcher.
Sue was married for forty-five years to Johnny and was a God-fearing person. She loved going to church, her two dogs that she called her “boys”, and cooking for family. She had an unwavering love for her family and had nick-names for each of her nieces and nephews. She attended West Eupora Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Robert Reed; a son, Virgil Adam Hatcher (Reed); six brothers, Billy Hatcher of Mathiston, Mississippi, J. C. Hatcher of Boyle, Mississippi; Jerry (Brenda) Hatcher of Grenada; Eddie (Cindy) Hatcher of Elliott, Mississippi; Kenny (Angie) Hatcher of Eupora, Mississippi; and John (Jenny) Hatcher of Eupora, Mississippi; three sisters, Betty Jane Hatcher of Kentwood, Louisiana, Patricia Moseley of Eupora, Mississippi, and Connie Lewis Palmertree of Eupora, Mississippi; and one grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Clark and Minnie Mae Gilbert Hatcher; two brothers, James “Sonny” Hatcher and Earnest “Ted” Hatcher; and one sister, Dorothy York.
Funeral services for Sue Ann Hatcher Reed will be Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be prior to funeral from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home. Burial will follow services at Sapa Cemetery in Eupora, Mississippi. Brother Jesse Strider, Sister Shirley Shepherd, and Linda Dempsey will officiate services. Pallbearers are Billy Hatcher, J. C. Hatcher, Jerry Hatcher, Eddie Hatcher, John Hatcher, and Kenny Hatcher. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
