Obituary for Shann Elaine McClellan (Meek)

Shann Elaine Meek McClellan
October 30, 1973 – February 26, 2022
Eupora, Mississippi

Shann Elaine Meek McClellan, age 48, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi on February 26, 2022. She was the daughter of Janice Elaine Shaw Meek and Walter Buchanan (Jacqueline) Meek, Jr.
Shann graduated from Eupora High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in dietary science at Mississippi State University. She attended the Methodist church throughout her lifetime. She reared her children in Laurel, Mississippi and redecorated her home to perfection. Her family said that she was rebuilding houses in Laurel before “Hometown.” Her decorating ability was to perfection because of her artistic ability in her home but also with her artwork. Her special loving care was shown throughout her life with her care for her children. She always was super stylish, very polite, a great cook, and gardener. She enjoyed being the hostess for family gatherings and wanted everything to be perfectly arranged. In fact, she collected aprons and had a different one for each holiday. With her enjoyment for the outdoors, she planted flowers for every season and loved her pets and animals. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Shann is survived by her parents; two daughters, Catherine Elaine McClellan and Marian Diane McClellan of Heidelberg, Mississippi; a son, Richard Macon McClellan of Heidelberg, Mississippi; two sisters, Arey Patsy Meek (Toll) Herard, and Emily Catherine Meek (Rodney) Reed of Eupora, Mississippi; and two brothers, Walter Buchanan “Buck” Meek III and Arthur Emmette (Beth) Meek of Starkville, Mississippi.
