Sarah Ann Cook Beck

Sarah Ann Cook Beck, aged 85, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, Mississippi. She was the daughter of the late William Warner and Geraldine Franklin Cook and the wife of Charles Beck.
Growing up in Choctaw County, Sarah Ann was lovingly surrounded and cared for by three aunts, Armoree Cook, Sarah Cook and Beulah Jackson and her uncle, Rufus Cook. She received piano lessons from Mrs. Margaret Lacey throughout her school years. She attended Wood Junior College and Mississippi State University. She taught at Greenlee School in Attala County. With her love of music she used her piano talent at LaGrange United Methodist Church playing for each service for many years. After retirement she always enjoyed talking about her years of teaching school, her church, and her many beautiful flowers.
Sarah Ann is survived by her husband, Charles Beck of the LaGrange Community in Choctaw County; a son, Bill (Melissa) Beck of Cleveland, Mississippi; a daughter Sarah Beth (Shannon) Crow of the LaGrange Community in Choctaw County; four grandchildren, Cathy Crow, Jacob Crow, Sarah Grace Beck, and Myles Canon Beck; and four great grandchildren, Emory, Ella, Anna Beth, and Ava Rae.
Sarah Ann is preceded in death by her parents, William Warner and Geraldine Franklin Cook; two brothers, James R. Cook and Billy D. Cook;
three aunts, Amoree Cook, Sarah Cook and Beulah Jackson; and one uncle, Rufus Cook.
Services for Sarah Ann Cook Beck will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Wise Reed Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. Officiating the services will be Bro. Roger Miller and Bro. Davis Hamilton. Pallbearers are Jimmy Cook, David Cook, Grayson Cook, John Ballard, Chris Ballard, and Claude Henley. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, July 13, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home. Burial will follow at LaGrange Cemetery in Choctaw County. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all services.
